Για τη λειτουργία της εφαρμογής αυτής είναι απαραίτητη η ύπαρξη οποιασδήποτε κάμερας εξοπλισμένης με υπέρυθρες νυχτερινής όρασης, είτε είναι ήδη εγκατεστημένη στον υπολογιστή (webcam) είτε είναι συνδεδεμένη εξωτερικά σε αυτόν.

Οδηγίες εγκατάστασης: Κατεβάστε και αποσυμπιέστε το .zip αρχείο. Στη συνέχεια εκτελέστε το αρχείο GazeTrackerUi.exe.
Δεν απαιτείται εγκάτασταση.

Ρυθμίσεις: Το παράθυρο λειτουργίας της εφαρμογής αποτελείται από την οθόνη της κάμερας και από 3 κουμπιά στα δεξιά της, τα setup, calibrate και start. Την πρώτη φορά που εκκινούμε την εφαρμογή, το κουμπί start είναι απενεργοποιημένο, καθώς χρειάζεται πρώτα κάποια εκπαίδευση του συστήματος για να παρακολουθεί με ακρίβεια τα μάτια. Αρχικά πατάμε το κουμπί setup και στο νέο παράθυρο που ανοίγει, η πρώτη καρτέλα του (tracking) ρυθμίζει τον τρόπο παρακολούθησης των ματιών. Πατώντας το κουμπί advanced, επιλέγουμε τα πεδία pupil και glint να είναι στο auto για να επιτύχουμε καλύτερη απόδοση της εφαρμογής. Στη δεύτερη καρτέλα (calibration) ρυθμίζουμε με ποια διαδικασία θα γίνει η εκπαίδευση του συστήματος. Στη συνέχεια, επανερχόμαστε στο κεντρικό παράθυρο και πατάμε το κουμπί calibrate για να ξεκινήσει η εκπαίδευση του συστήματος. Στο τέλος της διαδικασίας αυτής, εμφανίζεται το κατά πόσο καλή υπήρξε η εκπαίδευση. Αν επιτύχουμε σκορ 3 ή 4 αστεριών, μπορούμε να ξεκινήσουμε την εφαρμογή. Σε περίπτωση χαμηλότερου σκορ, πρέπει να ξαναεκπαιδεύσουμε το σύστημε μέσω της επιλογής recalibrate. Μόλις ολοκληρωθεί η εκπαίδευση, πατάμε το κουμπί start και έτσι μπορούμε να εκκινήσουμε οποιαδήποτε εφαρμογή την οποία θέλουμε να χρησιμοποιήσουμε, ελέγχωντας την κίνηση του ποντικιού μόνο με τα μάτια μας.
