ITU Gaze Tracker is an application for controlling the movement of the mouse pointer on Windows operating systems, just by moving the head. Depending on the movement of the head, the application moves the mouse respectively. The aim of this application is the usage of the mouse pointer from people without mobility in their hands. The application does not provide the click operation (single, double or right) and thus, for such an operation either the mouse or any other specialized software should be used. The use of a camera is required. Any camera equipped with infrared night vision can be used, such as a video camera or a webcam.

Οδηγίες εγκατάστασης: Download and unzip the .zip file. Then just run the file GazeTrackerUi.exe.
No installation is required.

Ρυθμίσεις: The main window of the application consists of the camera screen and 3 buttons on the right, the setup, calibrate and start buttons. The first time you launch the application, the start button is disabled, as it is first required some kind of system training in order for the application to monitor accurately the eyes. First of all, press the setup button. In the new window that opens, the first tab (tracking) regulates the way that eye-tracking is achieved. By pressing the advanced button, define the pupil and glint to be in auto mode in order to achieve better performance. In the second tab (calibration), you can regulate the process that you will use to train the system. After that, return to the main window and press the calibrate button in order to train the system. At the end of this process, you are informed of the results of this training. If you succeed score 3 or 4 stars, you can start the application. In case of lower scores, you need to train again the system by selecting recalibrate button. Once the training is finished, press the start button. Now, you can launch any application that you want to use and control the mouse movement by just moving your eyes.
